My letter to the Editor of the NY Times was published!

When I decided to write to them, I never expected a response…Let alone an email from the senior editor asking to publish it.

Now it’s in print for the world to see, and I guess that makes me an official journalist, right?

As transplant recipients and patients waiting for transplants, we really need to keep speaking up and educating others about the organ donation process. There are so many myths out there — and the more we share, the more lives we can save.

So glad you wrote to them right away. 13 people needlessly pass away each day as they wait for an organ. Organ procurement processes needs improvement, but it should not be mischaracterized as killing folks for their organs.
