My husband is 43. I asked about a colonoscopy, but his provider said he's too young. His family has a history of cancer. I don't get it.

I have a family history of colon cancer so I've already had a few of these lovely colonoscopies. It's a lot to manage but I always take comfort in knowing that if something were to happen there's a good chance we would catch it early.
I always make little rituals out of the prep too - if I'm going to do this I'm definitely going to be drinking out of a wine glass and making it boujee. I remind myself people pay good money for cleanses and here I am "getting one" for free!

Love your attitude, @AliEm14 ! 👍
@TiaBean - it's unfortunate when providers overlook family history! Early detection is the key to getting access to the most treatment options. It boggles my mind. I mean, there's a reason why all of us take the time to fill out those long intake forms which specifically ask about family history. I would suggest that your hubby go in strong and advocate/insist for having the testing done, especially given the family history.
Best of luck to him!
