Living Donor Liver Transplant

Does anyone know and is still in contact with their living donor for a liver transplant?
My wife was my living donor and she is still not fully back on her feet. I’m researching if her situation is unusual or if others had similar issues post surgery. We are working with the physicians but the care of the donor is certainly less thorough than it is for me.
you can also message me if you don’t want to do it publicly. Just seeking more details and experiences.
If anyone knows a good support group for donors it is welcome as well.
Thanks,
Andreas

I've known a few living liver donors and while I don't know specifics I do know it took a bit before they were "back to normal."
I do know that typically donor recovery takes longer, as donors are losing something whereas recipients are gaining something we need.
wow lucky to know, I know nothing about my donor. It haunts me as they wanted nothing to do with me after
@AliEm14 yeah, my wife isn’t very patient when it comes to waiting. She’s tired of feeling not 100%. We didn’t think it would take such a toll, but it makes sense. Just not what the doctors told her before the donation. But there is a lot they didn’t mention. Physical therapy is making a huge difference for both of us though.
