April 7 is green shirt day. For those of you who don’t know green shirt day is all about raising awareness for organ donation and transplantation. It marks the anniversary of the Humboldt bus crash (a bus carrying hockey players from Humboldt Saskatchewan) and the Logan Boulet effect, which marks the greatest surge in organ donor signups in Canada. Every year to honour Logan, those who lost their lives in the crash, and organ donors and recipients everywhere, we wear green on April 7th. We’d love for you to join us! Drop your green shirt photos below, or add them to Instagram and tag @lyfebulb and we’ll reshare.
together let’s continue sharing the stories of recipients and donors around the world!

Transplant Patient
I just shared my green shirt photos to my instagram! Was at the hospital this morning, and it felt comforting to see so much green. I remember the day of the bus crash 7 years ago (I wasn't yet transplanted) and how all the conversation started about organ donation, not knowing then that I would find myself in a position to need an organ and impacted by someone signing their organ donor card.
