I do. I received mine 8/30/1989. My big sister gave me one of her kidneys.
I do. I received my first kidney from my sister in 1990. It lasted for 33 1/2 years. Got my second kidney (from my brother) just over 2 years ago. I think every day about how fortunate I am!
Hi Ro_A, that’s awesome. Was it hard to get a match with your brother on your second transplant? My center said (without any tests yet) that I may have built up too many antibodies due to the length of my current transplant. This is a subject that I am not very knowledgeable about. Thanks!
My boss gave her kidney to her husband 10 years ago.
