It’s Donate Life Month, and even though we’re all in different places, we’re in this together. If you know of any Donate Life events happening near you, vigils, fundraisers, any awareness or flag raising events, please share. Let’s keep the hope going and connect across the globe. Please feel free to share photos from these events in this thread! We would love to use them to share throughout donate life month and perhaps in our monthly newsletter!

Transplant Patient
I attended a green shirt day event at my local transplant centre. There was also a moment to honour donors and to raise awareness for organ donation at a hockey game that I went to. It was amazing to see the entire country, and the hockey community, rally together to acknowledge organ donation
Oh man I love this sort of stuff. When I watch the video, they make me so emotional! I have not gone to one of the flags raising events personally, but I need to check that off my bucket list. I'll be honest that I didn't learn about these events until 2-3 years after I got my transplant.
How we can get our communities to participate or create these events?
Great question and I know we have folks on here who participate in these a lot and might have some insight so I will go ahead and tag them: @Sdey0522 @XmasKidney @Jdboogy53
I know most hospitals with transplant centers do events during Donate Life Month and they all do flag raising ceremonies. Getting in touch with your local OPO would also be a good option!
